REMEMBERENCE DAY

This weekend is rememberence day and we have been busy making poppy wreaths and decorating the home. On Sunday we will be having a church service, followed by a balloon release at 11am during the two minutes silence. Every year we get the residents and staff to write a message on a card, we then attached them to the balloons and release them at 11am. The residents and staff watch them disappear into the sky, it is always quite emotional and provokes lots of memories and feels like a fitting tribute to those that have been lost in conflict.
